KKK Planning A Rally In Madison

For the second time in as many years, a white supremacy organization wants to demonstrate in southeastern Indiana.

(Madison, Ind.) - The KKK is planning a rally in Madison.

The Madison Courier reports that a group called the Honorable Sacred Knights of the Ku Klux Klan has reserved Jaycee Park for the event on Saturday, September 1.

It is unclear where the KKK group is from.

The Madison Police Department says it will work with the group and the parks department to create a safety plan. A previously planned car show nearby on that same day will go on as planned.

A different white supremacy group held a rally at Madison’s fireman’s park in May of 2017. It attracted hundreds of counter-protesters against the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
