(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Ivy Tech Community College Monday recognized eight full-time employees for a combined total of 75 years of employment with the Southeast Region.

Karen Sharp, General Education faculty member, celebrated 20 years with Ivy Tech but was unable to attend a luncheon honoring college employees.  Other full-time employees recognized for years of service were:  Louise Stanfield, 15 years; Matt Probst and Jennifer Morton, 10 years; Julie Murphy, Karla Henderson, Woody Fryman and George Batta, five years.  Adjunct faculty/part-time employees cited included Marilyn Moeller, Janie Fiscus, and Suzanne Rice, each 10 years service.  Adjunct faculty and part-time employees recognized for five years with Ivy Tech were Ed Gordon, Joe Varble, Ronald Marek, George Schwipps, Jeffy Ruschke, Cynthia McKee, Jennie Cox, William Hagedorn, Holly Pratt, Carol Erickson and Bernadette Lewis.

Angela White, a 2010 graduate of the Lawrenceburg Nursing Program, was featured speaker.  White, who obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Indiana University East through an Ivy Tech – IUE continuing education partnership, is a registered nurse at Mercy Mount Airy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Explaining she enrolled at Ivy Tech in 2008 after losing her job due to the economy, White lauded professors as “there to see you succeed.”
