(West Harrison, Ind.) – After a 6-month investigation, two brothers are behind bars and multiple types of illegal drugs have been recovered. Indiana State Police issued a search warrant and arrest warrants at a home in the 100 block of South State Street in West Harrison. The warrants were served as a result of a joint investigation between the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section and the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force out of Hamilton County, Ohio. According to a news release, troopers located methamphetamine, heroin, prescription drugs, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The home owners, Michael Peters, 50, and Bryan Peters, 49 were subsequently arrested on numerous charges. Michael Peters is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 5 felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony), and Possession of Heroin (Level 6 felony). His brother, Bryan Peters is charged with one count of Dealing in Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug (Level 5 felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony) and Habitual Traffic Violator – Subsequent Offenses (Level 6 felony). Michael and Bryan Peters were both transported to the Dearborn County Jail. After they are booked in, both suspects will be given a bond an initial court appearance date.
