(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A jury agrees with detectives that a man planned to sell methamphetamine in Lawrenceburg.

A four-day trial in Dearborn Circuit Court last week ended with Robert Judd, Jr. being convicted of Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver (level 6 felony) and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe (level 6 felony). The jury also decided that Judd is a habitual offender based on his lengthy criminal record.

Lawrenceburg Police arrested Judd on May 29 after investigating suspicious activity at a vacant home on Mary Street. Officers observed Judd trying to conceal a syringe on the floorboard of his vehicle. He was found to have in his pocket multiple baggies containing a total of three-quarters of a gram of meth.

Detectives confiscated Judd’s phone, which contained text messages arranging to sell meth to others in the area.

Deputy Prosecutor Blaine Burgess and Chief Deputy Prosecutor Joseph Kisor handled the prosecution of the case. Deddens credited the jury for sifting through the evidence prior to reaching the guilty verdicts.

Judd will be sentenced on November 13 by Dearborn Circuit Court Judge James D. Humphrey.
