Girl, 9, Reported Missing In Boone Co. Was With Relative

Family and authorities were relieved to find the missing child had been with a relative nearby.

(Florence, Ky.) - A young girl who disappeared from her Florence area home Wednesday has been found safe.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Longleaf Drive at around 4:30 p.m. as a nine-year-old girl was reported missing. The girl had been seen last playing in the front yard of her family's home.

Deputies and Boone County Emergency Management came and searched the area.

They located the girl safe yesterday evening. She had been with a relative just up the road.
