The public will be treated to breakfast and lunch on September 15 as part of the 20 year celebration.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Friendship State Bank opened its doors to the Rising Sun community 20 years ago, in February, 1998. On Saturday, September 15 from 8:30 to Noon, the Rising Sun staff invites the public to join them as they raise a toast to their customers, neighbors, community, and friends in a cheer to 20 years.

Branch Manager Larissa Phelps joined the Rising Sun team 16 years ago. She most enjoys the personal interaction with customers and opportunity to watch families grow.

“I enjoy working one on one with customers and saying yes when other banks have said no,” Phelps said. “I love seeing the next generation progress from Kid$ave accounts to checking accounts with debit cards and then to car and home loans.”

Phelps is eager to thank their loyal customers that she has served for nearly the entire two decades. She also looks forward to connecting with former bank employees she has worked with over the years at the 20-year anniversary celebration.

Coffee, donuts, BBQ sliders, sides and lemonade will be available at the September 15 “Cheers to 20 Years” celebration. All guests will go home with a gift and can enter to win a Fall Fun Outdoor Prize pack. The Friendship State Bank is located on Main Street in Rising Sun, next to the courthouse. More information is available at www.friendshipstatebank.com/20-years.

The Friendship State Bank is a member FDIC, equal housing and equal opportunity lender.
