Backpack, clothes, and shoe donations are being accepted to give to kids at the event.

(Sunman, Ind.) – The first annual Free Kids Day will take place at Sunman Community Park this summer.
The event will be held Saturday, July 6 from noon to 6:00 PM.
Activities include snacks, cookie decorating, bounce house, popcorn, cotton candy, petting zoo, and more.
Free Kids Day will also include free backpacks, clothes, shoes and more. Those who want to support the giveaway can donate new or lightly used backpacks, clothes, and shoes to one of the following locations:
- DeLISHious Creations at the Sunman Bakery or any bakery truck location
- Sunman Town Hall
- Lawrenceburg Legion
- St. Andrews (Batesville)
- DJ’s Bar (Milan)
- Amvets Post (Harrison)
To help fund the event in future years, a Truck, Bike, Jeep, and Hot Rod Ride (must be 21 to ride) will start at Sunman Park and make stops at Amvets, Lawrenceburg Legion, and DJ’s Bar before circling back to Sunman Park.
Cost is $25 per ride.
An ATV contest is open to anyone 16 years or older unless accompanied by an adult. Registration info can be found below.
