South Dearborn's First-Ever Girls Wrestling Team Off to Great Start

(Aurora, Ind.) - A new era of wrestling is underway at South Dearborn High School. 

The school's first-ever girls wrestling team has broken onto the scene by finishing 6th out of 17 teams at the Monroe Central Invitational. 

Freshman Leah Luke was among the top performers, winning the 130lbs title. Luke went undefeated, pinning each of her opponents. Other top performers included Charlie Studt (3rd), Karaleigh Oles (5th), and Jaelynn Nash (5th), in their respective weight classes. 

Bella Lafevers and Averi McCool claimed 6th place in their brackets.
