Mandatory Evacuation Order Issued for Dearborn Co. Residents Near Whitewater River

Due to significant flooding

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Due to flooding of the Whitewater River, a mandatory evacuation order has been issued for residents in the following areas:

  • Longnecker
  • Pinhook
  • Cranes Run
  • Barber
  • Bonnie Lane
  • Herberts Lane
  • Cobblestone Court
  • Stonefield’s Lane
  • Loia Creek Lane
  • Anyone living along or immediately adjacent to the Whitewater River in Dearborn County

Residents in the affected areas should leave immediately and move to a safe location outside the evacuation area.

An evacuation shelter will be set up at 9:00 p.m. Thursday at:

Dearborn County Evacuation Shelter
505 Bielby Road
Lawrenceburg, IN 47025

Residents who need shelter should proceed to the designated shelter location.

This is a mandatory evacuation. Please follow the instructions of emergency personnel and do not attempt to remain in an affected area as floodwaters
