(Aurora, Ind.) - Mike Cutter has been recommended to the South Dearborn School Board to be hired as the next head softball coach at South Dearborn High School.
Cutter is a lifelong resident of Dearborn County and a 1992 South Dearborn High School graduate.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mike founded Cutter Landscaping, Inc. and successfully ran the business until 2020 before transitioning to a new venture in kitchen and bath remodeling, which he currently owns and operates.
In addition to his business career, Cutter has a long history of community involvement through sports. He began coaching baseball when his son, Lane, was in little league, coaching for three years and serving on the league board for two years. Cutter then transitioned to softball, where he coached his daughter, Ava, a 2026 Indiana State commit. Mike co-founded the girls' youth softball league in Aurora with Kelli Pettit. From 2016 to 2020, he coached travel softball.
In 2023, Cutter revived the South Dearborn Middle School softball program. The program started with one team of 14 players and has grown to include separate 7th and 8th grade teams.
His mission is to teach these skills while fostering a love for the game and ensuring the players have fun.
