The recognition comes from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.

INDIANAPOLIS - There is no shortage of quality high school basketball players in southeastern Indiana.
On Wednesday, seven players from the area were recognized with All-State honors from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA).
Fifteen seniors and 15 underclass boys' players have earned IBCA "Supreme 15" All-State honors for 2025-26. Other honors include Large School All-State and Small School All-State teams.
Locally, Batesville junior James Hughes earned Underclass Large School All-State. Hughes helped lead the Bulldogs to a 20-5 record, an outright EIAC championship and a sectional title. Hughes averaged 19.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Four other underclass players earned All-State Honorable Mention. They are Wyatt Adams (South Dearborn), Scout Gray (South Dearborn), Eli Gilpin (South Ripley) and Drew Volz (South Ripley).
Adams and Gray played a key role in an 18-win season for the Knights. Gray led the team in scoring at 14.7 points per game with 4.5 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals. Adams averaged 14.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game.
Gilpin and Volz helped lead the Raiders to an 18-6 record and an ORVC championship.
The Milan duo of Micah Norman and Gabe Riehle made Senior All-State Honorable Mention. Norman became Milan's all-time leading scorer this season, while Riehle reached the 1,000-career point mark.
The IBCA All-State teams are selected through a process organized by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
All IBCA-member head coaches have the opportunity to nominate players. A panel of 22 IBCA coaches -- 16 from the current regional areas plus six at-large representatives (two each from IHSAA Districts 1, 2 and 3) -- reviews the nominations and votes to determine the honor teams. David Wood, former coach at West Lafayette, is the non-voting committee chairman and finalizes the lists.
