SWIMMING

Batesville traveled to Greensburg on Tuesday night for a varsity dual meet. Greensburg earned the team victories with final scores of 112–56 on the girls side and 92–64 in the boys meet.

Girls Highlights

  • Emma Miller led the sprint group with a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle (29.27) and contributed on both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

  • Cora Miller placed third in the 200 freestyle and added a strong runner-up finish in the 100 butterfly.

  • Samantha Adams earned points in the 200 IM and anchored the 400 freestyle relay.

  • Briley Broshears took on the distance challenge, placing fourth in the 500 freestyle and swimming on both freestyle relays.

Boys Highlights

  • Cruz Gribben continued to anchor the sprint group with a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle and a solid swim in the 100 backstroke.

  • Ben Kuntz posted points in multiple events, including the 200 IM, 100 butterfly, and leading off the 400 freestyle relay.

  • Sam Richardson delivered a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle and contributed in the 100 breaststroke.

  • Tripp Hertel and Brody Gibson provided depth across sprint freestyle events and relays.

 

BOYS WRESTLING

The Batesville Highschool wrestling team hosted Franklin County Tuesday, December 16th. The Bulldogs wrestled well, winning half of the contested matches but gave up six forfeits which contributed to the final score of 24-57 and a loss. Winners on the night we're Carson Weiler, AJ Dance, Adam Brewer, and Dylan Comer. The Bulldogs travel to East Central for a multi-team dual meet on Saturday.
