Franklin County's Brant Ertel threw a no-hitter over the weekend.

Friday, April 30 

BASEBALL 

Milan 3, Rising Sun 1 – Brock Ornsby went 1-4 with 2 RBIs to power the Indians.  

Franklin County 9, Oldenburg Academy 8  

Batesville 10, South Ripley 0  

 

SOFTBALL  

Rising Sun 10, Milan 0 – Nora Powell had two hits and three RBIs for the Lady Shiners. Lindsay Montgomery chipped in with two runs batted in. Cora Poling pitched a five-inning no-hitter.  

Madison 5, Switzerland County 2 – The Lady Cubs rallied for four runs in the 5th inning, handing Switzerland County their first loss of the season (9-1). 

Shelbyville 13, Batesville 3  

Franklin County 9, Knightstown 5 – Bree Bischoff led the way with two hits and three RBIs. She also pitched seven innings, striking out 10. Maci Lake and Michaela Ferman added two RBIs each for the Lady Wildcats.  

 

 

Saturday, May 1  

BASEBALL 

South Ripley 5, Rushville 0 – Logan Eggleston drove in two for the Raiders.  

Hauser 7, Jac-Cen-Del 2 

Hauser 10, Jac-Cen-Del 7 

Franklin County 4, South Dearborn 1 – Brant Ertel threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts.  

 

SOFTBALL

Providence 15, Jac-Cen-Del 5 

East Central 7, Jennings County 6 – Emma Ertel and Lindsay Henson both homerd, combining for four RBIs.
