INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana’s annual tourism conference was held March 16-18 in Indianapolis.
Over 370 tourism leaders from around the state attended the Indiana Tourism Conference for networking and educational sessions over three days. The conference also included the Indiana Tourism Awards, which honor tourism businesses who are creative, innovative and maximize the dollars invested.
Visit Madison, Inc. took home three awards:
- Best Cooperative Partnership (Marketing Budgets under $500,000)
- Best Event/Festival (Marketing Budgets under $500,000) – Visit Madison, Inc.: Unbroken Circle Music Festival
- Best IN Indiana Activation – Visit Madison, Inc.: Madison Mobile
Best Cooperative Partnership
Visit Madison was recognized for the Get Married in Madison Wedding Giveaway, a collaborative campaign that brought together local partners including Love Betty Bridal, James Dell, Madison Trolley Line, The White Barn Venue, and numerous other businesses. The initiative awarded one couple, Taten and Caroline, a destination wedding experience in historic Madison, showcasing the city as a romantic and welcoming place to celebrate life’s biggest moments. By partnering with professionals across Madison’s wedding industry, the experience highlighted the city’s seamless planning opportunities and genuine hometown hospitality.
“This project really shows what’s possible when Madison’s businesses come together,” said VMI Executive Tourism Director, Andrew Forrester. “It wasn’t just a giveaway; it was a shared vision brought to life by passionate local partners.”
Best IN Indiana Activation
Visit Madison also received recognition for its Madison Mobile, a fully wrapped Ford Explorer provided by Madison Automotive Group and designed by Fiction Wraps. The vehicle serves as a rolling advertisement, creatively extending the reach of the statewide “IN Indiana” brand while promoting Madison throughout the region.
Best Event/Festival
The Unbroken Circle Music Festival, created and led by Brent Turner and Drew Eades, was recognized as Best Event/Festival in its category. While the festival is independently produced, Visit Madison supported promotional efforts and submitted the award entry on behalf of the organizers.
“This recognition belongs to Brent, Drew, and the entire team behind Unbroken Circle,” said Forrester, “We’re proud to
support events like this that add to Madison’s cultural energy and bring new audiences to our community. These recognitions are meaningful because they reflect something bigger than any one organization. They represent a community that shows up for each other, supports each other, and works together to create experiences that resonate with visitors. We are so proud of that collaborative effort and will continue to work on even more award-winning level partnerships in the future."
