INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association has named their 2024 Girls Tennis All-District Teams.
Locally, East Central’s Payton Pies and the Lawrenceburg doubles team of Jenna May and Sarah McAndrew were named to the District 8 Team.
Pies is the first in East Central school history to be selected to the All-District Team three consecutive years, and the third player to be selected three times in their career.
She leaves East Central as the program’s all-time wins leader, a four-time EIAC Champion, and two-time EIAC MVP. Pies was also recently selected to play for the South in the annual ICGSA North-South Cup.
May and McAndrew helped the Lady Tigers capture the EIAC Regular Season Championship with a 7-0 record in conference play.
May and McAndrew would go on to win a sectional title in #1 doubles.
