Career Milestones Highlight ORVC Weekly Report for Sept. 15-20

Nine student athletes earned weekly honors.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Nine student athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference for the week of September 15-20.

Of the nine students recognized, three earned career milestones in volleyball.

Reese Merica (Rising Sun), Ryan Works (Rising Sun), and Molli Weber (Jac-Cen-Del) are teh ORVC Volleyball Players of the Week.

Merica reached 1,500 kill attempts for her career, Works reached 500 career kills, and Weber broke the JCD school record for digs.

The ORVC Cross Country Runners of the Week are Savannah Nussbaum (Southwestern), Claire Boggs (Switzerland County), and Gabe Riehle (Milan).

Nussbaum ran a 20:00 race at South Dearborn, while Boggs finished in 22:02 at Milan. Riehle put up impressive times of 16:39 and 16:31 and Milan and South Dearborn, respectively.

Switzerland County's Alexis Mangold is the ORVC Girls Golfer of the Week. She carded a 97 at Sunrise during sectional play. The entire Pacers team advanced to the Regional.

The ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week is Bryson Sipples. The South Ripley star netted four goals, and an assist in three matches. He also made 18 saves in goal.

Switzerland County's Emma Parsons is the ORVC Girls Soccer Player of the Week. She totaled seven goals in three matches.
