(Wilmington, Oh.) – The Winter Storm Warning has been downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory.

Light snow continues Friday morning with additional snow accumulations expected to reach up to an inch.

According to the National Weather Service, motorists can plan on slippery and hazardous road conditions throughout the morning commute.

INDOT Southeast plow trucks continue to work to treat and clear roadways. Their latest update showed that roadways have improved slightly since last night, but travel is still difficult in most places.

KYTC District 6 Snowfighters are also out in full force, working to clear over 2,000 miles of state-maintained highways in Boone, Carroll, Gallatin, and Kenton counties.

If you must travel, be prepared for icy conditions, leave early, plan your route, have a full tank of gas, charger, blanket, food and flashlight.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM. UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisory extended to 3:00 p.m.
