Walton Man Arrested Following Police Pursuit Through NKY

(Gallatin County, Ky.) – Kentucky State Police have made an arrest after a pursuit through northern Kentucky.

Michael Lepper, 31, of Walton was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Kentucky State Police were contacted in reference to a pursuit that originated in Gallatin County when the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The driver, later identified as Lepper, allegedly failed to stop and continue into Owen County. The length of the pursuit and where it ended was not included in a press release on Friday morning.

Kentucky State Police say they are conducting an investigation and collision reconstruction resulting from an individual being injured when the fleeing vehicle struck a civilian’s vehicle during the pursuit.

The injured person was transported to University of Kentucky Hospital by Air Methods.

Lepper has been booked into Carroll County Detention Center.
