UPDATE: Detectives ID Body Pulled from Ohio River on Monday

(Boone County, Ky.) – The deceased male who was removed from the Ohio River on April 24 has been identified.

The body of Billy Lee Cordes, 41, of Aberdeen, Ohio, was located at Anderson Ferry in Hebron on Monday. Detectives confirmed his identity after forensically lifting latent fingerprints from the remains and providing them to the Covington Police Department’s Crime Lab.

Cordes entered the Ohio River from the Taylor-Southgate Bridge in Newport on April 7, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

Foul play is not suspected.
