(Moores Hill, Ind.) - Multiple agencies responded to a head-on collision on State Road 350 in Dearborn County on Friday morning.
The crash took place around 6:20 a.m. in the Moores Hill area.
Upon arrival, deputies found that both subjects involved were deceased inside their vehicles.
Based on the initial investigation, Cole Gaylord, 27, was traveling west on State Road 350 in a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and attempted to pass an empty school bus in a no passing zone. Once in the eastbound lane, Gaylord struck and oncoming vehicle, driven by Kyle Inferrara, 38.
State Road 350 was closed for approximately three hours while the Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team assisted with the crash investigation.
The crash is being investigated by the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office.
Moores Hill Fire and EMS, Indiana State Police, Dearborn County Communications and the Dearborn County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
