Two More Burglaries In Batesville; Police Believe They Are Connected To Others

A recent rash of burglaries in Batesville may be connected.

(Batesville, Ind.) - More residential burglaries have been occurring in Batesville.

Batesville Police say two homes on Park Place and Hillenbrand Avenue were found to be broken into on Tuesday, November 6. The burglary on Park Place occurred sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., while the Hillenbrand Avenue break-in was sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.

Nobody was home in either case. The burglars got away with cash, jewelry, and electronics.

These two burglaries are on the heels of five others committed in Batesville in October, August, and July. Investigators believe the break-ins are connected.

“The police department encourages residents to secure their residences and immediately report any suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods,” said Major Brad Wessel.
