Two Airlifted from Head-On Crash in Aurora

The crash took place on Tuesday night near Car Country.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Two people were injured in a head-on collision Tuesday night in Aurora. 

The collision with entrapment was reported around 8:29 p.m. on U.S. 50 at Billingsly Drive near Car Country. 

A 40-year-old female was airlifted from the scene with a left leg injury. A 25-year-old male was also airlifted from the scene after suffering a left leg injury, right arm injury and possible loss of consciousness. The male driver was reportedly unrestrained in his vehicle. 

The first helicopter took off from the scene at 9:00 p.m. The second lifted off by 9:21 p.m.

A cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
