(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Mark your calendars for the 2025 Tree Giveaway.

Thanks to the Dearborn County Soil & Water Conservation District, several types of trees will be available for you to take home on April 25.

The Tree Giveaway event will take place at Bright Meadows Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In exchange for trees, Dearborn County SWCD will collect canned goods and financial donations onsite to support local food pantries and Dearborn County Parks. The Dearborn County SWCD is asking attendees to check canned good, as last year the organization received expired items that could not be donated.

Trees that will be available are: American Plum, Black Cherry, Blackgum, Chinkapin Oak, Elderberry, Gray Dogwood, Hazlenut, Pawpaw, Persimmon, Red Oak, Shagbark Hickory, Silky Dogwood, Washington Hawthorn, and White Oak.
