Train Versus Truck In Boone Co. Injures Two

(Walton, Ky.) - A pickup truck was smashed into by a train in southern Boone County on New Years Eve.

 

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies say Wade Strickland, 34, and Riochelle Henderson, 19, both of Erlanger, were in a car crossing railroad tracks on a private drive off of Old Nicholson Road in Walton when the train struck at about 5:45 p.m.

 

Strickland suffered possible life-threatening injuries. Henderson’s injuries were non-life threatening.

 

They were each listed in serious condition at University Hospital in Cincinnati.

 

The crash remains under investigation.
