State Road 56 In Switz. Co. To Close For Bridge Replacement

Work will be done over Green Valley Creek.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) – A bridge replacement project will require the closure of State Road 56 in Switzerland County.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 56 will close near Lamb on or after Monday, June 10, weather permitting.

The road will be closed 6.5 miles west of State Road 129 for a $1.4 million bridge replacement project over Green Valley Creek.

INDOT says the office detour will be State Road 129 and US 421.

The project is expected to last approximately 30 days.
