State Champ Trojans To Be Recognized At Bengals Game

(Cincinnati, Oh.) - The IHSAA 4A State Champion East Central High School football team will be honored at the Bengals’ final 2017 home game against Detroit on Sunday, December 24. The Bengals are honoring state champion teams from across the tri-state on Fan Appreciation Day. East Central, Covington Catholic, and Beechwood high school players and coaches have been invited to Paul Brown Stadium. Each team will be recognized on the scoreboard for their state titles. In honor of the Bengals’ 50th season, Bengals Legends will be recognized during halftime. Those players include Bob Trumpy, Dave Lapham, Bruce Kozerski, Doug Pelfrey, Mike Arthur, Michael Blair, Robert Jackson, Rod Jones, Eric Kattus, Jay Koch, Carl Powell, Keith Rucker, Jimmy Turner, and David Verser. Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions is set to kick off at 1:00 p.m. East Central defeated Lowell 14-7 in the IHSAA 4A State Championship Game on Saturday, November 25.
