Rising Sun's Oatman, Fletcher Join Switz. Co.'s Sparks as ORVC Weekly Honorees

In total, seven student-athletes earned Player of the Week honors for April 21-26.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Seven student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.  

The ORVC Report for April 21-26 was released on Tuesday. 

Switzerland County's Jackson Sparks and Southwestern's Jeter Chatham were named the ORVC Baseball Players of the Week. Sparks tallied eight runs, eight RBI, five hits, including two doubles and a grand slam, and stole three bases in three games. Chatham earned the weekly honor by collecting seven hits, seven runs, four stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles in four games. 

Emily Oatman is the ORVC Softball Player of the Week. The Rising Sun standout went 2-0 in the pitching circle, striking out 20 and giving up zero earned runs in 10 innings pitched. 

Fellow Shiner, Casey Fletcher, is the ORVC Boys Golfer of the Week. Playing two, nine-hole rounds last week, Fletcher carded a 37 at Rising Star and a 37 at Sportsman's Club. 

In track and field, James Pardhanni (Jac-Cen-Del), Mason Bascom (South Ripley), and Alexa Yeomans (South Ripley) were named the Performers of the Week.
