INDIANAPOLIS - Three local high school baseball stars have been recognized for their work in the classroom.
The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association recently released their 2025 Academic All-State Team.
Local honorees are Carson Schneider (Batesville), Matthew Roy (East Central) and Bodie Harsin (Madison)
To be Academic All-State, players must be a senior during the 2025 season and play in 70 percent of their team games.
In addition, they must meet one of two qualifiers academically. If the player is the school's valedictorian or salutatorian, they automatically make the All-Academic Team. Otherwise, the player must qualify with a score of 8 on the academic formula that takes into account the player's GPA and SAT/ACT scores.
