St. Leon Man Killed In SR 46 Crash

The crash occurred near Chappelow Hill Road on Tuesday evening.

(West Harrison, Ind.) – A St. Leon man has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash in West Harrison.

Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of the crash Tuesday evening on State Road 46 near Chappelow Hill Road.

Deputies say Vernon Hensley, 76, was westbound on State Road 46 when his GMC Sierra left the roadway and traveled down a steep embankment before flipping on its top in a creek.

Hensley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Dearborn County Coroner, Harrison Fire and EMS and New Trenton Fire Department.
