(Greendale, Ind.) - St. Elizabeth Healthcare's Dearborn Cancer Center is celebrating its first anniversary.
The state-of-the-art facility opened its doors at the end of April 2024.
In its first year, the center has made a big impact in the community with more than 80,000 patient encounters, over 5,000 mammograms, and 2,500 lab draws.
The three-story, 66,000-square-foot facility offers many state-of-the-art technologies, including on-site radiation oncology to treat a broad range of cancers, including breast, lung, prostate, and colon.
St. Elizabeth Healthcare has plans to build a new hospital next to the Cancer Center in Greendale. Groundbreaking was expected for an undecided date in 2025, but an announcement was made in January that construction will be postponed due to an increase in construction costs and other factors.
