(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - With need continuing to rise in the community, The Clearinghouse is expanded their services to ensure more neighbors have access to nutritious food.
As of today, August 6, a new satellite pantry is open at the Lawrenceburg Adult Center.
The site will provide supplement food service on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
"This location will help us better reach individuals who do not have transportation or who face barriers getting to our other pantry sites. Every step we take is rooted in our mission: fighting hunger one person at a time," said Karry Hollan, Executive Director.
The Clearinghouse is in their 45th year of supporting community members with food insecurities.
"I am so happy we are able to open this to be able to serve more people. With serving more people, the need gets bigger," Hollan added.
To support the growing need in the community, The Clearinghouse will be out fundraising.
They will be at the Aurora Walmart on August 15 to collect food and monetary donations. Volunteers are needed. On August 29, The Clearinghouse will be at the IGA seeking donations. They will also be at the upcoming Dearborn County Health Fair.
