(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - After being on display for a month at Newtown Park, the replica World War II Honor Roll billboard has been relocated to its permanent home.
The billboard has been installed inside the Lawrenceburg Community Center at 423 Walnut Street.
The original billboard stood in Newtown Park from 1942 to 1946 to recognize those from Dearborn County who served during World War II.
Jim Fulton, a decorated military veteran, spearheaded the effort to put together the replica, which stood in Newtown Park during the month of July.
The 2026 Dearborn County memorial lists a remarkable 2,904 names, including 111 wounded in action and 84 killed in action. It exists because of the collaboration of dedicated volunteers, the City of Lawrenceburg, the Dearborn County Historical Society, Signarama, and generous community sponsors.
