Superintendent Eric Lows made the call on Wednesday.

(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn Schools are closing their schools for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
Superintendent Eric Lows released the following statement on Wednesday afternoon:
“After collaboration with our local health officials and board it has been determined that it is in the best interest for the health and safety of our students, staff and community to close all schools in South Dearborn Community School Corporation beginning on Monday, March 30. Moving forward, South Dearborn Schools will implement a combination of waiver and eLearning days for the remainder of the school year.”
Beginning April 6, all students will have access to free meals at the elementary distribution points located throughout the district. Meals will be delivered daily to each vehicle by staff and parents are encouraged to remain in their vehicles as they wait for the delivery of meals.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the challenges of this situation,” said Lows.
