The upcoming holidays will require a one-day service delay.

CINCINNATI - If your trash or recycling is traditionally collected on Thursday or Friday – you will experience a one-day service delay for the next two weeks because of the upcoming holidays.
Rumpke reminds customers that its team observes both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced Saturday the weeks of December 21 and December 29.
Rumpke expects to see even more trash at the curb the next few weeks.
“Traditionally we see about 25 percent more trash and recycling the weeks following Christmas,” said Molly Yeager, communications manager, Rumpke. “It’s more cardboard boxes, more bottles and cans and more paper.”
Yeager added that the Rumpke team will also encounter items not accepted in its trash or recycling programs including liquids, household hazardous waste and batteries.
“Just like Santa, we have a naughty and nice list,” said Yeager. “Before you place your material at the curb, please review our curbside guidelines to help protect the Rumpke team, the motoring public and first responders.”
