(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Summer fun returns to downtown Rising Sun as the annual Rising Sun Summer Fest takes place Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 4-10:30 p.m. on Main and Poplar Streets. Admission is free and open to the public.
The festival will feature arts, crafts and informational vendors, food trucks, inflatables from Let’s Bounce, and a face painter in the Kid Zone. Guests can also enjoy entertainment from a stilt walker and balloon artist with the Cincinnati Circus. A 360-degree photo booth will also be on hand, providing guests with a free video souvenir to remember their fun day in Rising Sun.
Emcee and deejay JD Hughes will keep the energy going throughout the evening along with live musical performances under the Main Street Pavilion. Not Johnny will perform from 5-7 p.m., followed by Top This Band from 8-10 p.m.
Special guests for the event include 2026 Indiana State Festival Association Queen Jordyn Leininger, who will appear from 4-10:30 p.m., along with the ISFA-1 logo bus and organization coordinator Doug Weisheit.
Following the popularity of last year’s fireworks display, McAlister Fireworks will return with another fireworks exposition beginning at 10 p.m. behind the Main Street Pavilion. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
The Rising Sun Summer Fest is presented by Ohio County Tourism, Inc. Festival sponsors include the Ohio County Community Foundation, the City of Rising Sun, and Rising Star Casino Resort.
