The 2019 County Health Rankings were put together by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

(Ohio County, Ind.) – According to a new report, Ohio County is the healthiest county in southeast Indiana.
The 2019 County Health Rankings from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation ranks every U.S. county by state on overall health.
Locally, Ohio County ranks 14th of Indiana’s 92 counties in health outcomes and 20th in health factors.
Health outcome ranking are determined by a number of factors including length of life, quality of life, health behaviors, clinical care, physical environment, and social and economic factors.
Franklin County is the next healthiest county in southeast Indiana, checking in at 18th in outcomes and 19th in factors. Dearborn County is 39th and 40th and Ripley County is 40th and 33rd in the same categories.
Switzerland County ranks in the bottom half at 78th in health outcomes and 88th in health factors.
