Six Local Soccer Stars Named to ISCA All-District Teams

One area coach was also recognized.

INDIANAPOLIS - Six area high school soccer stars and one head coach have been recognized by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association. 

The ISCA has announced their 2026 All-District Teams and Coach of the Year honorees. 

Three Oldenburg Academy stars highlight this year's local All-District selections. In District 3, Connor Holder was named a First Team honoree. The Twisters senior striker is currently tied for the most goals in the state (according to MaxPreps) with 46. He has played a pivotal role in helping his team reach the Class A State Championship. 

#4 Oldenburg (18-3) will take on defending champion #1 Fort Wayne Blackhawk (18-0-2) at Michael Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium on the campus of IU Indianapolis on Friday at 6:00 PM. 

The Twisters are led by Ken Getz, who has been named the Boys District 3 Coach of the Year. 

Oldenburg is also represented on the Girls District 3 First and Second teams. Senior Claire Niese was selected to the District 3 First Team, while junior Sophia Leising was a District 3 Second Team honoree. 

Niese led the Lady Twisters with 26 goals this season. She added 16 assists. Leising was the team leader in assists with 17 and was among the top goal scorers with 11. 

Lawrenceburg had two All-District selections. Ava Merkel earned District 4 First Team honors, while Kori Abbott was named to the Second Team (full season stats unavailable for these players. 

East Central's Jackson Engel was a First Team selection in District 4. 

Players earning First Team All-District honors will be considered for All-State by the ISCA.
