Report: Indiana Among Least Patriotic States

Kentucky and Ohio didn't rank much higher.

(Undated) - As Americans prepare to celebrate Independence Day, WalletHub is ranking the most patriotic states in the U.S.

The personal-finance website released its 2018 Most Patriotic States in America report this week.

To determine the rankings, WalletHub compared all 50 states across 13 key indicators of patriotism, including the number of military enlistees to share of adults, who voted in the 2016 presidential election, and AmeriCorps volunteers per capita.

Ohio ranked as the most patriotic state in the tri-state area at 32nd overall. Kentucky followed at 37th nationally, while Indiana ranked 39th.

Virginia ranked as the most patriotic state. Alaska, Wyoming, South Carolina and Idaho rounded out the top 5.
