Aurora Police responded to the 400 block of Manchester Street around 4:48 a.m. where a sleepy and possibly impaired driver struck two parked cars. According to the crash report, a 17-year-old from Cincinnati was driving a red 2004 Chevy Impala when the vehicle traveled left of the center lane and struck two parked cars, both of which received front driver side damage. The total amount of damage is estimated between $10,000 to $25,000. While speaking to the driver, the juvenile claimed to have fallen asleep and was unaware of what happened. Police say they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver then allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the accident. The juvenile was transported to Dearborn County Hospital with some cuts and bruises. A blood sample was collected at the hospital and charges will be pending the results of blood analysis.
