Original story published Tuesday, September 18:

(Florence, Ky.) - Florence residents are being urged to watch for a suspicious man seen approaching young girls as they waited outside their home for the school bus.

Florence Police say the man rolled up to the girls Monday morning on Honeysuckle Terrace in a large SUV and offered them a ride. The girls refused and ran back inside their home to tell their parents, who then called police.

The suspect is a white man in his early 30s with a blonde goatee.

The family’s front door camera captured an image of the suspect’s vehicle. It appeared to be a Cadillac Escalade either blue or green in color. The SUV may have had a slightly discolored front passenger side fender.

Anybody who may have information about the individual or vehicle is asked to contact Florence Police Det. Cpl. Adam DeSalvo at (859) 334-5551 or Adam.DeSalvo@florence-ky.gov.
