Several Ripley County schools competed in this year's event.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Genesis: Pathways to Success and the Batesville Community School Corporation hosted the 13th annual Regional Rube Goldberg Machine Contest on Saturday.
This year, teams were challenged to “Put Toothpaste on a Toothbrush” with a minimum of 15 steps and a maximum of 75 steps in Division I, and a minimum of 20 steps with no maximum number of steps in Division II.
The winning teams were:
- Division I 1st Place: Batesville Middle School
- Division I 2nd Place – St. Louis School
- Division I 3rd Place – Our Lady of Lourdes
- Division II 1st Place – Ripley County Engineering Academy
- Division II 2nd Place – Batesville High School
- Division II 3rd Place – Oldenburg Academy
Anderson High School won the Creativity Award and Best Dressed Award, while Ripley County Engineering Academy took home the Most Rube Goldbergian Award.
