One Killed, One Charged with Murder in NKY Shooting

The incident involved two 15-year-olds.

(Elsmere, Ky.) - A 15-year-old girl was the victim of a shooting in Elsmere on Monday night. 

Elsmere Police responded to the incident in the 3700 block of Autumn Road around 8:45 p.m. for a report of a female shot in the chest. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A 15-year-old boy is in custody and is being charged with murder. 

Police say a decision to transfer the case to adult court will be made by prosecutors at a later date. 

The incident remains under investigation.
