The incident occurred on Turfway Road on Tuesday night.

(Florence, Ky.) - Florence Police responded to a vehicle collision along Turfway Road on Tuesday night.
The crash took place around 8:17 p.m. just east of Drexel Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a passenger car had collided with a pedestrian in the right eastbound lane on Turfway Road. Through investigation, it was discovered that a Hyundai Accent was traveling eastbound on Turfway Road in the right lane as the pedestrian was crossing Turfway Road. The Hyundai Accent collided with the pedestrian before coming to a stop and remaining on scene.
Florence EMS arrived on scene and transported the pedestrian to UC Medical Center where he was listed in Critical but Stable condition. The pedestrian has been identified but their identity will be withheld pending notification to their family. The driver of the Hyundai Accent did not sustain any injuries and has been cooperative in the investigation.
\The Florence Police Department does not anticipate any criminal charges against the operator of the Hyundai Accent.
