Ohio BMV Service Price Increases Start January 1

These changes were approved in the state’s two-year budget.

(Columbus, Oh.) – Ohio drivers will see fees rising in 2026.

Several Bureau of Motor Vehicles services will increase in price starting on January 1.

The annual registration fee for personal vehicles will rise from $11 to $16, and for commercial vehicles from $30 to $35.

Other fee increases include:

  • Title fees: up from $15 to $18 (counties can add an additional $5)
  • Service fee: up from $5 to $8

These changes were approved in the state’s two-year budget.

Revenues will support BMV operations and public safety services.
