Update posted Saturday, January 21 at 6:40 a.m.:

A Winter Storm Warning for the tri-state has been lifted by the National Weather Service.

An overnight winter storm has moved on, but not before glazing the region in ice.

Travel conditions may be difficult as motorists report slick roads through the area. That has led to several schools and events calling in cancellations for Saturday.

Two southeast Indiana counties have also been placed under travel emergencies. Ripley County is at Orange (formerly level two) and Franklin County is at Red (formerly a level three) meaning only emergency personnel may be on the road and regular motorists could be ticketed.

Ice has coated power lines and trees, however, Duke Energy has not reported and widespread power outages as of Saturday morning.

View our Closings and Delays page for the latest cancellations.
