(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The new home of the Boy Scouts in Lawrenceburg is ready for pack meetings, pinewood derbies, and other scout functions. The new scout cabin on West High Street at Front Street will be dedicated during a ceremony on Sunday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. City of Lawrenceburg officials, Hamline Chapel, and the Boy Scouts will be present for the event. The boy scouts headquarters had to be relocated from an old cabin behind the Hamline Chapel for the construction of the Lawrenceburg Event Center & Hotel. The city funded the move. “Unfortunately the original cabin structure was unable to be moved, thus resulting in the City’s construction of a new cabin which is currently located at 461 W. High Street,” said city marketing director Kelly Will.
