(Aurora, Ind.) - A convicted child predator has been slapped with a sentence of eight years.
Bradley Chase Johnson pleaded guilty to two counts of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (level 5 felony).
Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens says Johnson victimized a 14-year-old girl when he was 18.
The victim gave tearful testimony at a sentencing hearing about the enduring harmful effects on her and her entire family.
“She showed immense courage in confronting the defendant, who preyed upon her,” Deddens stated, adding that the victim’s father and sister also testified.
Dearborn Superior Court I Judge Jonathan Cleary sentenced Johnson to six years behind bars and two years on probation. He must also register as a sex offender.
Deddens credited Deputy Prosecutor Jeff Wilson for representing the State along with Detective Vern McBride of Aurora Police for his job in investigating the case.
