Longtime Voice Of Batesville Athletics Passes Away

(Batesville, Ind.) - The longtime voice of Batesville High School athletics has passed away.

Lloyd William Hisrich died on June 19 at the age of 81.

Hisrich spent 54 years as an announcer at Batesville High School sporting events. For his years of dedication to announcing, Hisrich eventually earned induction into the Indiana Hall of Fame.

He was a lifelong member of Batesville Methodist Church, U.S. Army Veteran, member of the Batesville Lions Club and Batesville Masonic Lodge #668.

Visitation for Hisrich will be held on Sunday, June 27 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home.

Contributions can be made in his honor to the Batesville Athletic Boosters.
