In his first year as the boys’ basketball coach, Carrigan guided the 1997-98 team to a Sectional Championship, defeating Hauser 103-96 in an unforgettable triple overtime game. Denny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Beverly; two daughters, Molly and Abby; three sons, Toby, C.J., and Joe; six grandchildren and his sister, Sandy. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Rising Sun High School Gym. A memorial service will follow the visitation.
