Work will begin in early January.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Thanks to generous assistance from the Lawrenceburg Public Library Services and Resources Foundation, the Lawrenceburg Public Library is in for some exciting changes in 2026.
The library underwent some renovations in 2021 with work being completed on the second floor and the Ewbank Meeting Room.
These new updates will connect those spaces, making the building feel like a unified space, according to a newsletter written by LPLD Director Jake Moore.
According to Moore, the existing flooring and painting will be replaced throughout much of the library. New furniture will also be installed, including reading chairs and study tables, seating and play spaces in the Children's and Teen areas and cafe tables and seating in the Friendly Bean.
There will be noise and temporary adjustments while these changes are being made.
The plan is to keep the library open during the work.
Work is planned to start at the beginning of January and should be finished by April.
